I have a submission in the inbox, but I was suddenly hit by what a bad idea this was. It’s too confusing the way I have it set up.
So here is what I’m going to do:
I made a directory to all the now existing, independent teen RP blogs. It can be found here: http://teenagebatmanrp.tumblr.com/
There are no rules, seeing as it is completely independent and not an RPG. You don’t need to apply for a character or anything, and if a character is already taken, you can make another one, because a lot of them aren’t always online, or don’t always RP with the teens.
I’m really sorry for those of you who wanted to apply, or did apply. I didn’t mean to waste your time. I’ll leave this blog up, and maybe I’ll reorganize it better one day in the future. But for now, this is our best bet.
So I'm confused... if this isn't based upon the TV show then how exactly does it work? There are such a wide range of characters and ages... are they ALL teenagers? Because I'm not sure how it would work to place, say, Bruce and Damian together in high school... Or does this not contain all the batfamily/younger Gotham citizens (Colin, Nell, etc.)?
When I say it isn’t based on the TV show, it’s because the TV show spent time basically taking stereotypical teenage traits and fitting them into the characters. (Crane=Hipster, Nigma=Super nerd everyone beats up, Killer Croc=Mindless Bully). It would have really narrowed what you could do with the character.
I was, however, aiming for something with a similar concept, as how they all attend the same show, and using similar characters to the one the show has to offer. (Including some it didn’t, like Talia, Freeze, Bane, and even new characters like John Blake and Rachel Dawes)
I’ll be honesty and say I wasn’t really thinking of younger Batfamily/Gotham citizens when I was thinking of this idea. I was aiming it more for characters that are already adults, so you could develop them from a younger age.
That’s a really good question, though. This is an AU that is already twisting time boundaries and backgrounds, so it could work, depending on how you were to set it up, but I’m not going to recommend you try it.
Does this help clarify? Feel free to let me know if you are still confused!
